PORT Talbot youngsters have turned into 1920s gangsters for a production of musical Bugsy Malone.

Pupils from Glan Afan Comprehensive School have taken to the stage at the Princess Royal Theatre to put on a show-stopping performance of the American musical.

Head teacher Mike Gibbon said scores of people from the town had been entertained by the students as well as children from the local primary schools.

"The opening night was tremendous," he said.
