South Wales Police commissioner Alun Michael gives backing to animal welfare visiting scheme
SOUTH Wales Police commissioner Alun Michael has given his backing to the force’s animal welfare visiting scheme.
Set-up under the now defunct police authority, the scheme sees volunteers checking the care and conditions of the force’s four-legged crime fighters - the dog and horse sections.

Mr Michael visited the animal officers at their base in Bridgend - along with the chairman of the welfare visiting panel, Derek George - and was full of praise for the volunteers.
Mr Michael said: “The animal welfare visiting scheme gives the public reassurance that the hard working dogs and horses of South Wales Police are being taken care of properly. I wholeheartedly support the work of the volunteers who do this excellent work.

“South Wales 'Police commissioner'??? Intelligence insulting 'Par Excellence'! The guy is a complete and utter joke! Do a Google check and it will give the relevant information about Alun Michael's 'Police Credential's i.e. He has none. He must have been employed for the sole purpose of being tea break talk/entertainment for all the boys at the local 'Nick'!!!!!!”
