Snow forces cancellation of all outpatient appointments in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend

HEALTH bosses are warning of disruption and cancelled outpatient appointments today and over the weekend.

Abertawe Bro Morgannwg Health Board said they will be focusing their resources on emergency services while the snowy conditions continue.

Outpatient clinics are cancelled at all hospitals in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend today and tomorrow, and some planned operations are also being postponed.

Health bosses have apologised for any inconvenience caused — and have thanked their staff for making the effort to get into work

A spokeswoman said: "Snow is causing disruption to our services today and this is likely to continue over the weekend.

"We will be focusing on ensuring our emergency and urgent care services are able to cope during this period and therefore will be cancelling outpatient clinics both today and tomorrow. Some planned operations will also be affected.

"We apologise for the disruption and inconvenience during this time.

"We are grateful to our staff for making their way into work under difficult conditions."
