Skewen doctor appointed MBE for services to healthcare and charitable services
A SKEWEN doctor has been appointed MBE in the New Year's Honours List for services to healthcare and for charitable services in South Wales and overseas.
Dr Eleanor Williams discovered she had been appointed on her 70th birthday. The mum-of-four has been a doctor in Skewen for 35 years and said the appointment was a great honour. Dr Williams said it was unexpected, adding: "It is a great honour."
