Sir Anthony Hopkins speaks out on Alfred Hitchcock role
OSCAR winner Sir Anthony Hopkins said it was not necessary to portray on screen the story of Alfred Hitchcock's alleged obsession and mistreatment of actress Tippi Hedren.
Margam-born Hopkins stars as the director opposite Scarlett Johansson in upcoming biopic Hitchcock, while Toby Jones took the lead role opposite Sienna Miller's Hedren in HBO/BBC show, The Girl.
Hopkins said he had spoken to Hedren and she never mentioned the late director was in any way a sex pest.
