Sir Anthony Hopkins to play a Dutch businessman in Kidnapping Freddy Heineken
MARGAM-BORN Hollywood star Sir Anthony Hopkins will play a Dutch businessman in a new thriller, Kidnapping Freddy Heineken.
Sir Anthony is playing Dutch businessman Alfred "Freddy" Heineken — the grandson of the founder of the Heineken brewery — who along with his driver was kidnapped in 1983 and released after the largest ransom ever paid at the time was handed over.
The kidnappers were eventually caught and sent to prison. It is based on a book about the case by Peter R de Vries.
