SCOTT Sinclair is gearing up for a reunion with Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu tonight after claiming: "I always knew I would be back to play at a top club."

Sinclair made his Manchester City debut in the 1-1 draw at Stoke last weekend after completing a £6.2 million move to the Etihad from Swansea City.

The winger played for 74 minutes at the Britannia before being replaced by Spain star David Silva.

Now Sinclair hopes for another chance to impress in tonight's Champions League duel with Real Madrid. Real boss Mourinho gave Sinclair his Chelsea debut when he was 17.

And Sinclair said: "I watched the (Champions League) draw and everyone is looking forward to going out to the Bernabeu. This is why I came here, to play with the best and be in a world-class team.

"I don't know if I'll play. I've just made my debut and all I can do now is concentrate on the next game, on training every day and give 100 per cent.

"I am just looking forward to playing any games to be honest, whether it's my City debut in the Premier League or a Champions League game, all I can do is try to make an impact."

Sinclair got his move to City after two fine seasons at Swansea.

He added: "After leaving Chelsea I had to go out and play games.

"I went to Swansea and found my feet and it was great for me to play every week, but it was always in my mind that I would be back to play at a top club."

“muld00ns; It's about time you gave it a rest, nobody gives a t0ss about the ridiculous whingeing comments that you continually post. So you've been a season ticket holder for ten years, so what? I've been supporting the Swans since the late fifties. The fact is the majority of Swans fans ARE interested in ex players, especially ones who have cntributed a lot in getting the Swans where they are now. You, and a handful of others are a tiny minority, so if you don't like what the EP reports, don't read it, you won't be missed! Simples!”

“If no responses they would stop reporting on issues like this???!!1 Do you read articles on here? There was one the other day about a roof rack on the M4 and a squirrel rescued by the fire service!”

“muld00ns, again I point out this probably took 10 minutes of someone's time, and lots of people ARE interested. Certainly this story would have far more hits on the site than most of the local area stories you mentioned.

I suggest that if you aren't interested then don't click the link. If articles like this generated very little traffic then there's a good chance they would stop doing them.”

“well yes it does matter. There are lots of Swans fans that don't care, he's gone and this is a local paper, we're 4hrs from Manchester. Instead of wasting resources on reporting on things that don't concern the area do some journalism in the local area rather than the comfort of their desk in Bristol or wherever they are.”

    “muld00ns.

I accept you are not interested, but there are many Swans fans who are. The EP caters for lots of people, not just you.

When you consider this probably took 10 minutes of someone's time to write and a very small area of page it's hardly a problem is it?”

“Scotty did not even make the bench this evening. So he really should stop going on about "Champions League" football because it just makes him sound like a hanger.”
