A SCHOOL in Swansea has signed up to take part in a charity world record breaking attempt for the most people signing and singing simultaneously.

Pupils at Craigfelen Primary School in Cyldach will take part in the event, organised by charity SignHealth, on February 6, 2013.

Steve Powell, chief executive at SignHealth, said: "Our Guinness World Records sign2sing project is an attempt to break the world record for the most people singing and signing a song at the same time. More than 800 schools have signed up so far and we're delighted Craigfelen Primary School is involved in the event too."

Earlier this year 114,277 children took part in SignHealth's sign2sing 2012 event, including pupils from Swansea, and smashed the world record. The previous record was 94,489.
