SHANE Williams was delighted to go out on a high after what seems certain to be his final Lions match.

The Wales wing scored two tries as the tourists defeated South Africa and was delighted to put on a performance for the travelling fans.

"It was a great performance by the guys," he said.

"The defence won the game today and I'm proud to be part of it.

"We didn't deserve to be 2-0 down. We knew we were a good side and we were determined to prove it.

"Before going out I knew this would be my last appearance for the Lions. I was determined to go out and get involved. I'm really glad that I've enjoyed myself."
