SHANE Williams is poised for his final Lions curtain, with another Welsh veteran of two tours telling him he has nothing to prove to anyone.

Williams has labelled the six-week stint in South Africa the toughest trip of his career. In seven outings, the 32-year-old scorer of 46 tries for Wales has failed to cross once for Ian McGeechan's Lions class of 2009.

And Williams endured a hard tour in New Zealand under Clive Woodward four years ago.

But according to Tony Clement, a Lion in 1989 and 1993, the Osprey doesn't need a blinder in the third Test in Johannesburg tomorrow to prove his worth.

''Shane has nothing to prove to anyone,'' said Clement.

''He has been turning defences inside out for years and crossed for more tries for Wales than any other player. He has done well at World Cups and scored against all the major countries. A record like that doesn't need much polishing.
