Shane Williams turns down Toulon galacticos to stay in Japan
SHANE Williams has revealed he turned down an offer to join the galacticos of Toulon in favour of another year in the second division of Japanese rugby.
Wales's record try-scorer has admitted the chance to join the star-studded Top 14 side on the French Riviera would have been tempting a few years ago, but instead he has extended his stay with Mitsubishi Dynaboars.

"There was an option to go to Toulon, plus other teams as well, but it was the wrong time really for me to go to Toulon," said the former Osprey.
"I think if I'd had the option several years ago and I was out of contract I would have done it.

"I've agreed to go back out (to Japan), do a bit of coaching and do a bit of playing as well. It's a great experience and something I thought I'd never have the chance to do."
Williams bowed out of Welsh rugby in 2012, scoring a brace of tries to help guide the Ospreys to a Pro12 title in a thrilling final in Dublin.
But after announcing he was going to hang up his boots, he opted to take up a one-year contract with the Dynaboars in Japan, describing it as a "once in a lifetime opportunity".
It is not the first time that Williams has been the target of French clubs.
Castres were hot favourites to land the British Lion during his time with the Ospreys, only for Williams to agree to a new deal at the Liberty.
