BUDDING tennis player Leila May Savage has shown real promise by winning a grand slam at Swansea Tennis Centre.

The seven-year-old, of Bishopston, enjoyed a clean sweep of the mini-tour, which replicates the sport's four Grand Slam tournaments.

The Morfa-based centre is now running a tennis programme at Bishopston Leisure Centre, and has also mini-tennis scheme at the city's LC. Run by social enterprise Tennis Swansea 365, the centre was nominated for centre of year at last weekend's Tennis Wales Awards.
