Seriously injured driver is 31-year-old from Neath Valley
A NEATH driver in intensive care after he crashed into a wall has been named locally as 31-year-old Gavin Walsh.
He suffered "extensive injuries" to his legs and chest in the accident, which happened at 10.35pm on Saturday night in Dwr y Felin Road, Neath.

The front seat passenger, a 21-year-old woman named locally as Jessica Lewis, was also admitted to Morriston Hospital.
Firefighters spent more than an hour cutting the pair from the blue Ford Fiesta, which came to rest near the college and a property known as Ffrwd Vale Lodge.
The two crews from Neath and Pontarddulais left the scene shortly after midnight but police closed the road for around five hours while officers carried out initial investigations and recovered the vehicle.
A police spokeswoman described Mr Walsh's injuries as "serious" in a statement.
The Evening Post understands that Mr Walsh is from the Resolven area.
The extent of Miss Lewis's injuries are not known, but a police spokeswoman said "the passenger received less serious injuries".
South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision. They said the road was quiet at the time of the crash.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the accident, who stopped to provide help, or anyone who might have seen the Fiesta being driven prior to the collision and who had not yet given their details.
"South Wales Police would like to thank the people affected by the road closure for their patience and understanding," said the spokesman.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Wales Police Roads Policing Unit on 01792 456999, extension 52331.

“This is something many people need to take on board, when placing their details, and personal information on social networking sites.
This isn't the first picture the Evening post has used, in reporting news events.
Be Carefull!”

“Karl, sorry to hear about your brother, but I am a mother and I feel for your brother as a son of my own, now I have seen a photo of him I wish him all the very best from deep down in my heart. Don't be upset over the picure involved, it gives people like me something to focus on. Please concentrate on your brother getting better rather than venting anger. I am so upset, he reminds me of my own son. God bless.”

“I would have thought that a copyright issue was the least of your brother's problems. Like Paul stated there's not much you can do because it's a public domain photo,”

“Karl, you are obviously upset and concerned for your brother but something in the public domain is just that, "public". Just focus your energies on supporting your brother to a speedy recovery.”

“I do believe you have got yourself in abit of trouble by printing a picture of my brother, a photo that he himself took, an so has sole ownership of that picture, and you would need his permission to use it in any form. You stole this picture from one of his social networking sites, and I intend to take it further as a matter of principle. Do you people have no respect, he's lying in an intensive care unit, with pins and plates all over him holding him together, and you are stealing from him. Expect a fuss kicked up over this!”
