CARMARTHEN Wanderers Seconds host Aberdare this week as they look to cement their position at the top of the division two of the South Wales Cricket Association Second XI Championship.

Simon Rogers's side were without a fixture last weekend as their game at Llanelli was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

In their last game, at Cowbridge, they lost the toss and were put into bat on a wet wicket. But Kevin Jones, and Danny Griffiths again made batting look easy, putting on 60 for the first wicket with Griffiths eventually going for 25 and Jones for 30.

Young James Morgan batted brilliantly in hammering 96 to all parts of the ground.

But the rain came and the game was abandoned.
