A search has been launched for a missing photographer.

Terry Hudson, from Aberystwyth, has not been seen since leaving home on Thursday.

It is understood he left his keys, mobile phone and dog at home when he left.

Coastguard teams from Aberystwyth and Borth started searching for the missing 48-year-old yesterday afternoon following a request from Dyfed-Powys Police.

This morning the Aberystwyth inshore lifeboat joined the hunt, while on land the Constitution Hill area of the town was also being searched.

Mr Hudson — who friends say is also affectionately known as Pinky Marvin — is described as being around 5ft 11in tall, of a slim build, and with shoulder-length black hair.

Originally from Birmingham, he has lived in the Mid Wales university town for a decade, and still speaks with a West Midlands accent.
