Scott Young is left frustrated after goalless Connah's Quay clash
PORT Talbot Town boss Scott Young was left frustrated after his side goalless draw with Connah's Quay in the Welsh Premier League.
Town dominated the clash at the GenQuip Stadium for long periods but were unable to find a breakthrough.
"We most definitely deserved the three points and it wasn't our day," said Young. "In possession and territory we should have won the game comfortably.
"We created three or four decent chances which is slightly disappointing with the amount of possession we had, but on any other day we'd have won that game.
"They camped at the edge of their box but they put bodies on the line and worked hard to get the result."
Town's defence was much more solid that on Saturday, when they opened the campaign with a 6-0 defeat by champions The New Saints.
Young added: "We probably should have worked harder to get into decent positions but we need to get points on the board.
"I think teams are looking well organised this year. Connah's Quay came out with a game plan and played on the edge of their box but kept a clean sheet, so we need to learn that teams will want to come here to defend."
