Schools FA closing in on a century
THE Swansea Schools FA is on the verge of its 99th season of schools football.
The association is responsible for all school football in and across the county of Swansea.

Run by teachers and volunteers, a significant amount of time is put in to ensure that all children have an opportunity to play in well-structured and coordinated competitions and festivals.
Swansea Schools, in association with the Swansea Football Foundation, has organised a fund-raising dinner on September 21 with Wales coach Chris Coleman as the guest speaker. Coleman is a former Swansea Schools player.

The dinner will be held at the Towers Hotel, Jersey Marine. Tickets are priced at £20 per person or £200 per table of 10.
The evening will include a three-course meal and entertainment.

The association is also keen to hear from as many former players as possible. All former players are asked to email the association with details of the years they represented the association and their team managers. The Swansea Schools FA runs sides from under-11s through to under-15s, who participate in the Welsh Schools FA Inter- Association competitions.
The under-15 squad also competes in the prestigious English Schools FA Trophy.
The under-11s squad is managed by Catherine Noble and coached by Craig Jones, Peter Wynne, Rob Daniel and Mike Evans.
