School plan on course
THE refurbishment of Morriston Comprehensive is a step closer, after Swansea Council agreed the demolition of four of its school blocks.
Plans for its £22 million face-lift are part of the authority's schools modernisation programme, QEd 2020.
Permission to demolish the blocks paves the way for the creation of replacement two and three-storey school buildings.
Permission was also granted for external works including access improvements, car parking and drainage, as well as 2.4m high boundary fencing, retaining walls, landscaping and lighting.
