School parking issues outisde Alltwen Primary School in the Swansea Valley turn ugly
A SWANSEA Valley Police Community Support Officer has spoken out after frustrations over parking outside a school got personal in cyber space.
Parking outside Alltwen Primary School, near Pontardawe, has been an issue for a number of years with police in the area regularly receiving complaints from members of the public.
The main issue is people parking on zigzags or double yellow lines in order to drop off or pick up pupils.
Such practice is perceived by many as dangerous as it may affect child safety when crossing the road.

Now PCSOs attempting to police the area have been attacked on Facebook.
PCSO Samantha Brookman told a PACT meeting this week: "I wasn't impressed with what was being stated on there but there's nothing that we can do about it.
"The slander that they said about PCSOs is quite offensive but we don't know who wrote it."
The officer was referring to a page on the social media site which has since been taken down.
Another page, calling itself Spotted Alltwen, has been set up describing itself as an "anonymous" site where people can rant in public.
A message on the new site said: "As most of you noticed the other spotted Alltwen got removed by some sad **** reporting it, but nothing keeps Alltwen out of the light."
Mrs Brookman added: "We are trying as much as we can but it's still a question of trying to educate the parents."
One parent, who did not want her name to be used, said: "I think it's terrible that the PCSOs are being abused like this.
"I support them 100 per cent. They have been doing a fantastic job."
Another said: "A letter has gone home I don't know how many times in the past.
"You can't even shame them not to park there because they just don't care."
