7.35am: THERE are only two school closures being reported in Swansea so far this morning.

Townhill Community Primary is closed to all pupils and staff. No specific reason is given for the closure.

Dylan Thomas Community School is closed to all pupils but open to staff. Icy conditions on site are being blamed.

Watch this space for any more school closure notifications.

“Surely between the teachers and the care taker they could have worked out yesterday that there would still be ice . They should have acted on it then.”

    “@jack2013
All credit to the headteacher to get in through the snow. I know of people who 'couldnt' get into work from 2 miles away.”

“maybe Townhill was closed due to the yards being untreated and the ice making them a death trap on Weds but the staff car park was treated? and the new headmaster was even late himself on Thurs due to him being snowed in at home in Builth Wells. Surly it would of been easier to have someone from the Swansea area as a headmaster?”
