Scheme to improve Welsh rugby facilities

THE Welsh Rugby Union and Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust have announced a joint scheme aimed at improving community rugby facilities in Wales and widening participation.

Grants of up to £20,000 will be awarded to develop community facilities for public benefit, with all rugby clubs eligible to apply.

Projects could involve:

Improvements to pitches or drainage improvements;

Improvements to clubhouses and changing rooms;

Provision or upgrade of floodlights;

Improving or installation of disabled facilities;

Improving facilities for rugby and other sport in local communities.

    “the milleniumn stadium was supposed to boost welsh rugby but it's just boosted the city of cardiff with all the cardiff hotels, pubs, cafes, etc living off the back of it and ripping everyone off by putting up their prices.”
