NIGEL Davies has told his players to raise their game on the domestic front.

The Scarlets sit eighth in the Magners League after six games, with just two victories so far.

They have conquered Brive and London Irish in the Heineken Cup but failed to replicate that form in the Celtic competition.

Tonight they head to bottom club Connacht looking to follow up last week's win over the Dragons and pick up only their third victory in the league.

The Scarlets, who hand fit-again Morgan Stoddart his first start in seven months, sit just two places above tonight's hosts.

But a second consecutive league victory could see them rise three places.

"We know how big this game is to us," said Davies.

"One of our values is humility. We haven't achieved anything yet — we have had a few decent results (in Europe), but we are at the bottom of the league with Connacht.

"We are at the same level as them, so we go there with the same mentality."

The Scarlets have history on their side for this game.

Since the inception of the region, the Scarlets have beaten Connacht four times on their own patch — twice at The Sportsground — from six attempts.
