Have Your Say: Show us way to be green
ONCE again we have the big stick being waved over us by the comfortably seated Welsh AMs.
I am, of course, reading the report which mentions the idea of imposing a fine on councils for recycling shortfalls (Post, Sept 3).
It could be assumed that because Cardiff Bay bosses have to do it other councils will have to follow.
While figures were quoted for Carmarthenshire, Bridgend, Torfaen, Swansea etc, none were quoted for Cardiff, must have been hidden in overall figure of 52 per cent for 2012/13.
Since all of us are overwhelmed by recycling our left overs, wouldn't it be a bit of quality thinking if our governing bodies showed the techniques required to gain the vital extra per cent to gain joy for all.
This would also save money from the local budget being snatched back from the neighbouring treasury.
It would probably be spent on more rubbish thinking.
