Have Your Say: No need for more AMs
YOUR report (Post, Oct 17) must have tugged at the heart strings of every person in Wales.
To learn that the 60 members were "under powered, over stretched and under strain" stretches the credibility and the sanity of the persons of the Electoral Reform Society who compiled the report.
It is suggested that without the added 40 new members the result would be poor policies, inadequate legislation, wasteful expenditure and poor outcomes.
The reality is that we have under-worked, three months holiday, overpaid and inefficient legislators who seem to be totally unaware of their actual responsibilities to the electorate.
If the proposed increase in the number of AMs does go ahead we will have more political representation than China with its several billion population.
This must be some kind of in political tongue-in-cheek joke. Mustn't it ?
