Have Your Say: Too late to language row
ALTHOUGH it is a breath of fresh air to read that more correspondents are questioning the attitude of the Assembly and its sycophants to the massive financial outlay on promoting the Welsh language they are just 16 years to late.
Since the election to office, a very dubious result in itself, this expenditure has been totally out of control and encouraged by Carwyn Jones who last month held what he called the Great Debate on the future of the language. It is no surprise to know that this debate was held in North Wales at the Eisteddfod which currently represents a tiny fraction of the population. What an absolute farce!
How ever many comments and criticisms are made about the stupidity and lack of direction of the Assembly there is never any result, it is very similar to punching a balloon. Since 1997 they have treated the people of Wales, particularly non-Welsh speakers, with total disdain.
