Have our Say: Is fracking a done deal?
JOHN Childs (Have Your Say, Oct 3) responding to my earlier letter seems unable to accept the inevitable.
Yes, adopting a precautionary approach to fracking and coal gasification is admirable but also an exercise in futility because, as I have already pointed out, some cabinet members at Westminster are already shareholders in these energy companies.
Does anyone believe these Tory Ministers would not have had a nod and a wink before entering into such arrangements?
Discuss, research, form opinions if you must but don't pretend that the ultimate decision makers are to be found outside the corridors of power in Downing Street and nowhere else!
