Have Your Say: Signs let the area down
AS a local Brynmill resident I echo the concerns of many of my neighbours with respect to to-let display boards.
We are fed up with these letting boards being on display all year round especially since many of the properties have already been let.
Not only are they intrusive on the aesthetics of many of the Victorian houses, but can also be a source of crime, properties with permanent letting boards are twice as likely to be burgled than those suggesting occupancy without inviting signage.
At this time of year when university students are busily moving into rented accommodation and landlords busily clearing out in preparation for letting; it would be to everyone's environmental pleasure for waste disposal and collection to take place more frequently just to clear the plethora of smelly black disposal bags and domestic waste.
