Have Your Say: Loyalty not being rewarded
I AM a frustrated Swansea City fan who has just attempted to order two tickets for the Fulham away game.
Both my friend and I are season ticket holders and I am a Jack Army member, I therefore didn't foresee any problems in ordering the tickets for us online.
However, to my frustration, the website would only allow me to purchase a ticket for myself stating that Non Jack Army members could only buy tickets on general sale — even if they are season ticket holders.
I called the club ticket office to query this and was told that the order of sales for the Fulham away tickets is as follows: October 28 — Online only to Jack Army members who are season ticket holders.
November 4 — Online only to Jack Army members who are not season ticket holders.
November 11 — General sale online, telephone or in person from ticket office.
My questions to the club are this: Where in this process is there any demonstration of loyalty to the fan that pays £490 for their season ticket?
How can it be fair that someone who pays £25 for Jack Army membership gets preference over a season ticket holder in terms of access to away game tickets?
