Have Your Say: Let's get fracking
IT seems the UN climate committee have revised their forecast that we would be roasted alive by 2100, they now say Global warming will reach just 0.5C, by that date, and the drop in air temperature will be too small to register on a normal thermometer.
It's not the heat that will kill people off it's the cold, caused by the inability to adequately heat their homes, due to the exorbitant price rise of gas and electricity, partly caused by the ridicules green tax levied on all our bills.
It is time to scrap the green taxes so loved by the Lib Dems, and get up and smell the coffee.
Britain's contribution to global carbon emission is almost negligible, yet we spent millions on the green energy drive and the massive wind farm subsidy is absolutely disgraceful.
These ugly monstrosities could possibly be tolerated if, and only if, they were efficient and more importantly effective. But they are not, they are only kept turning by the massive subsidy.
The do-gooders who want to save the world from global warming while watching the elderly shivering have had their say, now let's get fracking and build our own power stations, not leased from the Chinese.
