Have Your Say: Lack of info on TB issue
AS the problem of TB in cattle and badgers is, once again, in the public domain.
Badger culls with the cost of cattle slaughter and farm shutdowns/closures are certainly emotive subjects which ever side you support.
There is no vaccine for cattle, possibly in 2014/15.
Badgers will have to be vaccinated every year — at what cost, with no real expectation of full coverage, to the whole badger society?
But there is one piece of information I never hear the experts, protesters or come to that farmers, ever openly admit or express that of all the cattle tested positive for TB and slaughtered 90 per cent do not have TB.
This is a travesty and the misinformation and lack of honesty from our governing bodies and specialists is diabolical.
If there ever was a reason to protest/lobby Government.
I feel this surely must be one good cause, for the sake of the badgers, farmers and the financial cost to us all.
