Safer sex pack sparks anger
AN Aids charity has defended using sexually explicit photos and offensive language inside condom packets given out at Swansea Pride festival.
Complaints have been made after a handful of the envelopes were found littering Singleton Park the day after the event at the end of June.
Organisers of the Swansea Pride event have admitted the material was inappropriate.
Information inside the packaging included advice on safer sex for gay men as well as featuring actual images of simulated love-making between two males.
But the Terence Higgins Trust insisted it was vital their safe-sex message was heeded. Head of policy Lisa Power said: "Gay men still make up two-thirds of HIV cases, so it is very important that we get our message about safe-sex across. There is no point in talking down to people. We have held focus groups and know what works and what doesn't in terms of health promotion."

“I don't see why gays are such an issue for people. I mean, with all the problems in the world . . . Gays aren't causing any problems at all (as a group). Mind your own business, each to his own and all that . . . And wouldn't these old fashioned religious types (and they are almost always religious) be doing God's work better by . . . oh, I don't know, handing out hot soup to the city's homeless, instead of bashing homosexuals?
Just a thought.”

“Re; Merv Williams, San Francisco
Thanks for the comments.
Given the great boxing matches down the years, I just thought that Madison Square Gardens would have been a fantastic venue for your Tete-a-Tete with Welshman, Boston. Perhaps a reason why he hasn't been in touch with you, is because he is on a School trip somewhere! As you said in your earlier comments, he might actually live in Boston, Lincolnshire in England, which clearly has different Area/International Codes to Boston in the U.S.A. ! Your earlier comments about the Roman Catholic church are well founded, particularly what has happened in Ireland which has recently become public. My thoughts are with the 'victims'.”

“James.
As it is, we will be staying at a hotel only 2 blocks away from Madison, which is built on top of Penn Station.
The Gardens cover a block, between 7/8th Avenue & 33/34rd Street.
One interesting point.
welshman boston HAS NOT REPLIED TO MY QUESTION RE: AREA CODES.
Proof enough that he/she do not live in the U.S.A..”

“Re: Heather, Mwmbwls
Do I take it that you have 'Cob webs' on your 'unmentionable areas'!?”

“Merv, San Francisco
Do I take it Merv, that you and Welshman, Boston, won't be having your own 'Tea Party' when you 'hit' Boston!? I suggest you both meet in NY and the venue should be Madison Square Garden!”
