Ryan Jones salutes diehard spirit following Wales win
RYAN Jones paid tribute to the character and courage of the Welsh players after last year's Grand Slam champions halted a demoralising run of eight matches without a win.
The 16-6 triumph over a hapless France at the Stade de France was Wales's biggest margin of victory over Les Bleus in Paris in 38 years.

And Jones, who delivered an outstanding all-round display as captain, believes the result can now act as a trigger to bigger and better things for Rob Howley's squad.
"Before the game we talked about being a team, we win as a team and we lose as a team," said the Ospreys talisman, who was leading his country for a record 30th time.

"It is testament to this team how they reacted after last week (defeat to Ireland). Coming in on Monday, none of the guys had ever been under that amount of pressure.
"But they came out here and fronted up.
"We talked about being bold and brave and you have to be that against a team like France.
"It's special, on the back of where we've come from these last few months.
"It was by no means a flawless display, there were a lot of errors there, but the character and diehard spirit was something special.
"The players who have been to Paris before have come here, stood up and been counted and that's what it takes," he added.
"Hopefully we'll kick on from here. Winning's a habit and we've got the monkey off our back now."
