Runner Liz nets £500 funding boost
A LLANSTEFFAN woman who will be running through the streets of Newcastle Upon Tyne at the weekend for charity has collected a further £500.
Liz Dutch will be running the Great North Run on Sunday in aid of Help for Heroes, which helps ex-servicemen and their families.
She held a money box collection day at Carmarthen's Morrisons supermarket on Saturday and said the support from shoppers and staff was superb.
Mrs Dutch said: "The staff were fantastic and many people who donated wanted to stop and talk about why I am doing the half marathon."
