Three robbers on the run from a Welsh prison have been caught.

John Phillips, Stephen Booth, and Jason Morris, absconded from Prescoed prison in Monmouthshire on Tuesday night.

All had been convicted for separate burglary offences — Phillips, 28, at Swansea Crown Court in March 2006, Booth, 34, at Cardiff Crown in June 2008, and 34-year-old Morris at Merthyr Crown in September 2005.

Gwent police had advised the public not to approach them but to contact officers if they had any information on their whereabouts.
