WEEKS of litter have been left to pile up in a lane behind homes after bin collections were changed.

Town councillor Eddie Jones said it was hoped that the rubbish would soon be cleared after residents were told rubbish would now be collected from the front of houses.

He said: "They're going to collect the rubbish that's there, but there's been a lot of confusion over collections changing from the back of the houses to the front."

However, Glynneath councillor Alf Siddley said: "We are negotiating with the council about the bins – a lot of residents are elderly and won't cope with bag collections at the front. At the moment, we're getting nowhere."
