Roof leak affects Princess of Wales Hospital's emergency department
A LEAKING roof is affecting the emergency department at Bridgend's Princess of Wales Hospital.
Health chiefs are urging patients with less serious injuries to use the minor injury department at Neath Port Talbot Hospital instead to avoid delays.
An Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board spokeswoman said: "The leak is causing disruption as a corridor is blocked off while repairs are under way.
"This disruption is likely to lead to delays in some emergency department patients being seen over the next five to seven days. We apologise for any inconvenience. "More than 80 per cent of patients who use the minor injury unit at Neath Port Talbot Hospital are seen, treated, and discharged within a hour, so to avoid a long wait, please go there if you can."
