Rodgers in hunt for 4 top-flight marksmen
BRENDAN Rodgers is eyeing a clutch of Premier League frontmen as he continues his search for attacking reinforcements.
Rodgers has confirmed that Swansea City missed out on Manchester City's Felipe Caicedo, despite the clubs agreeing a deal, as revealed in yesterday's Evening Post.

But the Swansea manager is already working on as many as four alternative centre-forward options, as well as long-time target Frank Nouble.
The window for emergency loan signings opens early next week and, ideally, Rodgers would like at least one new striker in before Swansea go to Leeds United in eight days' time.
"We have still got a lot of work to do," said the former Reading boss.
"We were disappointed, obviously, that we couldn't get anyone through the door before the deadline, but it wasn't through a lack of effort.
"Manchester City were fantastic for us, setting up a great deal (for Caicedo) which I was very grateful for.
"But the bottom line is that if the player we want can't come, for whatever reason, that's out of our control.
"It's just the same when a player has to stay at a club because he is not allowed out.
"But I am not overly concerned because we will get the right types in eventually.
"The loan window opens next week and we just need to make sure we top up what we already have with some extra quality."
It is understood Caicedo, whose girlfriend is Spanish, opted for a loan spell at Levante, even though he will earn less with the La Liga new boys than he would have done at the Liberty.
Swansea also saw moves for the likes of Danny Graham, Tamas Priskin and Leroy Lita come to nothing during the summer window, but Rodgers still has a number of potential recruits in mind.
"Goalscorers are few and far between," he admitted.
"We will be relying on the kindness of other managers, but now Premier League clubs have named their squads, they know where we are.
"Clubs like ourselves will be looking to take advantage of that.
"It could be that we go for a top, top young talent. I know the market and there are lots of good young players out there."
Swansea hope to complete the signing of pre-season trialist Kemy Agustien in the next few days.
The Dutch midfielder is still recovering from a knee ligament injury suffered playing for Swansea against ADO Den Haag, but a deal is close.
"Everything is agreed and Kemy will be in next week for a medical," Rodgers said.
"He is not 100 per cent fit yet but is well down the road. Hopefully everything will be done and dusted next week and he will be a big addition to the group."

“Deano, Swansea - FFS grow up and get a life. Don't you have anything more worthwhile to do than to post boring comments over and over again? You obviously have a very limited knowledge of how football works.”

“Only if you read the same page Deano.
Its good news that the club are trying to get new blood in but disappointing that it hasn't happened yet. I would hope that confirmation that the club is looking, and working hard to make signings will be enough to satisfy the moaners.”

“Are we still going to be reading the same story in January ?”
