An action group was first set up by the residents of Penybanc in 2009 when plans to develop the land were first proposed.
Chris Green, chairman of the Penybanc Action Group, said: "Strong opposition has come from around the area and it has become a bone of contention.
"They are shoe-horning a large housing estate into a small area."
Penybanc residents have placed "no to 336 houses" posters in their windows opposing the plans. Llandybie Community Council has also expressed its opposition to the proposed development.
