A SWANSEA park is going to look blooming lovely thanks to the efforts of a community group.

Members of Birchgrove Community Association have been busy over the weekend with daffodil planting at Parc-yr-Helyg, in Birchgrove.

They have also been putting bird nesting boxes in place at the site. Residents were being encouraged to get involved with the scheme yesterday, which is designed to help Birchgrove become a prettier and more attractive place to live.
