Republic launches discount sale as buyer is sought for the business
CLOTHING chain Republic yesterday launched a discount sale as a buyer continued to be sought for the troubled business.
The firm, which runs stores in Swansea and Carmarthen, went into administration earlier this week.
Ernst and Young is now handling its affairs and yesterday revealed details of what a spokesman for the administrator described as a massive discount sale.
The spokesman said: "The decision to run this sale has been made to encourage customers into the stores to the see the value and quality of products on offer, whilst a buyer is sought for the business and its assets as a going concern.

Republic runs a store in Swansea's Quadrant Shopping Centre.
The firm also runs an outlet in Carmarthen.
