In the programme, Angharad Penrhyn Jones tells the story of Lilian Davies, born in Swansea on August 30, 1915, who went on to marry Prince Bertil of Sweden. The prince was tied to his royal duties for 30 years and was unable to marry due to the strict rules of the Swedish royal house, but Lilian remained faithful to him and they eventually married in 1976.
