Rental bookings boost charity
CAR rentals could prove to be both practical and charitable as a scheme aims to help homeless and vulnerable people.
Carrentals.co.uk is holding its second Book and Donate day next month, which will see the comparison firm give £1 to homeless charity StreetSmart for every car rental.
Drivers will be able to book a car and support the charity at no extra cost on February 8 and 22, March 7 and 21.
Last year the initiative helped to raise more than £330 for StreetSmart, which supports education, training, housing and health projects for homeless people.
Gareth Robinson, managing director of the car rental firm, said: "We were ecstatic at how well our first Book and Donate day turned out, so naturally we decided we had better hold another.
"StreetSmart does really valuable work for the UK's homeless and so we look forward to using our car hire bookings to raise some additional money for them."
