Remploy delight for AM
WELSH Finance Minister Jane Hutt said she is delighted to be using Remploy's specialist services to help disabled people.
The Welsh Government's xchangewales programme will run for six weeks in April across Swansea, Flintshire, and Merthyr. Using electronic scanning, it can scan up to one million invoices per year, providing stable jobs for disabled people.

"I am delighted we are able to use the specialist employment services of Remploy to test this important 'proof of concept'," Mrs Hutt said. "Supported employment is an excellent way to secure and retain paid employment for people with disabilities and to support the long-term unemployed back to work."

“What about those disabled workers who are (and those who were) already in secure paid employment with Remploy?
Its time to stop the phased programme of closures started by Labour in 2008. Like The vast majority of us who lost our jobs in 2008 - Remploy employment services does not work!
How does this Government aim to convince employers that supported employment of people with disabilities within their businesses will be beneficial while closing down its own factories.”
