A 15-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl from the Gwendraeth Valley who was reported missing last Tuesday has been found safe and well.

Dyfed-Powys Police issued an appeal for Roisin Kathleen Hannon, of Llannon, after she had disappeared from Ysgol y Gwendraeth, where she is a pupil.

On Friday a police spokeswoman confirmed that the girl had been found safe and well and was now back with her family.

Llannon community councillor Emlyn Dole said it was a great relief that she was safe.
