Rapper's new album tells of good and bad side of town
LLANELLI'S answer to Jay-Z is aiming to put his hometown on the lyrical map by rapping about the realities of life on its streets.
Rapper and music producer Shorty-p, who is also known as Ceri Preece, from Morfa, has put words to rhythm about what really goes on in Llanelli.
The 21-year-old ex-Coedcae school pupil released his first independent album, titled Morfa Boy: The Album, earlier this year.
Ceri said: "The album features 12 tracks in the styles of southern hip hop, R&B, dance and dancehall, and gives you an insight into the harsh life on the streets of Llanelli, and an insight into the mind and lifestyle of Shorty-p."

“Why oh why is this sad little boy singing, and singing about nothing he spouts on about, life on the streets of llanelli is nothing, i have an opinion because i have actually listened to the whole album,
I agree with the last comment that it is people like this, a wanna be gangster if you like that old people are afraid of leaving the house at any time of the day.
If you want to know what the streets are like as you sing about, go live in the Guetto's and then and only then - you can start singing about some thing you have a real understanding about.
Until such times be so very quiet, baecause you are a fool, and shame on Griff for allowing you to sell in his shop your album, get your tatt's covered up, get a suit, and go get a job you benefit cheat who signs on at llanelli J.C.
You are what you sing, putting in mildly, - ( SHIT ).
What the hell is this world amounting to.”
