RAFA Benitez believes Chelsea can overcome their 2-0 first-leg deficit and advance to the Capital One Cup final.

On the back of six straight away victories, Benitez is confident Chelsea can produce what is needed to beat Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday.

"For me, it's easier than for Michael Laudrup, because we have to score and we have to win the game," he said.

"For them, it depends. They may try to play on the counter-attack, or play how they usually do, but I think they will wait for us and play deep.

"We have the confidence we can do it, we are playing against a good team, but if you remember the first game we had a lot of chances.

"We made two mistakes and they scored, so we have to manage the situation, but our away form has been good.

"We know they will try to score and put more pressure on us, but we have to go there and try to win."

The Chelsea  interim manager was also quick to praise Laudrup  following his impressive start to his Swansea career.

"He's doing well," Benitez said. "Before him it was (Paulo) Sousa, (Roberto) Martinez and (Brendan) Rodgers. He has the same ideas which is good because he doesn't need to change too many things. He can just carry on doing a good job, and he's doing really well."

“"For me, it's easier than for Michael Laudrup,
because we have to score and we have to win the game."

Ha, ha, that was a good one Rafa. You are in deep s**t. Admit it. You and your multibillion squad are afraid of losing another game to a mighty Swans. Your logic is pure nonsense. YOU have to score three times if you want to go to Wembley, and you can do it against Aston Villa, but not against Swansea. Your job is more difficult than Laudrup's, because if you lose this game you can lose your job. If we lose, Michael will still be our beloved manager. But we can't lose because we don't HAVE TO WIN.
    Watch us at Wembley Rafa.”

“Chelsea will be up for this with boots on, no doubt they'll try to rough us up, dives will come aplenty (hope not) so the ref and his officials need to be up for any drama tactics, other than that more the same from us along with our fantastic "Jack Army" extra man. Our team is really up for it and I can put hand on heart and state categorically: Swansea City Football Club will give 100% while I'm sure Michael has tweaked all the edges by what he expects.”

“An amazingly insightful remark by Benitez..."but we have to go there and try to win":he is surely a master tactician so we haven't got a chance!!!”

“I am so anxious for this game. Swansea is on the verge of team history and as some of the players have said, this may be the most important game in club history so far. I'm going to be a nervous wreck come kickoff.”

    “*CORRECTION*

it means chelsea are going to need to score 3 just to get a draw.”

“Its gonna be tricky. In many ways the 2 goal lead is a psychological disadvantage.

I think the best thing to do is forget about the lead and get everyone to play like they are playing for their lives cos if they do, they are going to wembley. I wanna see everyone work like dog.

Stick Michu up front on his own, we need as many in defense and midfield as possible, AND he is due a goal, and if we get 1 goal, it means chelsea are going to need to score 3 just to get a goal.

I think Chelsea's realistic belief is that they will feel if they can pull 1 goal back in the first half, they will it will start to panic the swans. Chelsea will ideally be thinking if they can get two goals and pull it back to a draw, the momentum they have will carry them to a win via extra time or penalities because they are not expected to win.

If Swansea score first, we have them by ghoulies. SO maybe we just attack for the first 5 minutes to shake them up.

I really dont know, its gonna be horribly tense game to watch to be honest.”

“RB has underestimated the Jack Army and the fortress Liberty Stadium. we have the extra man now, and the first goal is crucial. we know what Chelsea are capable of and the Swans have to be totally focused. we have to believe.”
