THE company behind the redevelopment of Epsom Racecourse has been chosen to transform Swansea's Quadrant Bus Station.

Swansea Council has awarded the multi-million pound contract to Wilmott Dixon.

Work will start this summer and is expected to take 15 months.

The last day of operation of the existing bus station is Saturday, June 13, and the following day bus services will operate from a series of temporary stops located across the city centre.

Swansea Council leader Chris Holley, said: "We have reached another important stage in delivering the new bus station. I'm delighted we have chosen a world-class company with a proven track record, to redevelop the bus station."
