Race to honour soldier
FRIENDS and family of a fallen soldier will come out in force to compete in an annual race in his name.
Carmarthen's Bombardier Samuel Robinson — known as Robbo — was killed in 2010 in the Sangin region of Afghanistan.
His loved ones and some of his former army buddies will gather for the race on October 13 along the River Towy, rowing from Carmarthen to Llansteffan.
The day always includes an emotional minute's silence for the 31-year-old and for his fellow soldiers.
Samuel, from Pentre Morgan, was a keen member of Gwendraeth Valley Paddlers, along with his dad, Dennis.
People can enter the race on the day.
