THE race for tickets for the Capital One Cup final at Wembley is threatening to turn sour for some Swans supporters.

While each and every member of the Jack Army would no doubt like to book their place at the February 24 final, the club is faced with a straight forward problem of mathematics - an allocation of just 31,000 tickets and an unprecedented demand.

With around 16,000 season tickets holders on their books, if the club gave them just two each all tickets would be gone before others even had the chance to think about adding their support on one of the biggest days in the Swans' history to date.

Swans supporter Steve Crabb said: "Terribly disappointed by Swansea City FC's decision on tickets for Wembley. As an exile there's no point me having a home season ticket, but as loyal supporters and Jack Army members many of us were there at Crawley, we were there at Stamford Bridge - but it seems we won't be there at Wembley."

The club said it would release a statement this afternoon.

There is already someone selling 4 tickets on Gumtree.

Its bad enough that we got a tiny allocation, its borderline unforgiveable that SCFC have allowed season ticket holders the choice of buying two tickets.

The season ticket holders get to see all the home games, and would still have seen this one, but to then give them the choice of buying an extra one really just stinks.”

“broachadav, I hear what you say about decent fans not abusing ticket system and I apologise sincerely for implying that all season ticket holders would do such a thing! I'm taking what I think is a misjudgement by the club over distribution of tickets personally because my teenage son has worked incredibly hard doing deliveries every single day in all weathers for two years now to afford premier league and cup tickets and train/bus tickets, and before that we travelled all over north of england and midlands supporting the Swans in lower leagues ... now he feels all his hard work has been for nothing even though no-one can take the good times away from him. But as I say, I'm sorry for offending decent season ticket holders - it's not your fault the club has messed up and I really hope you have a brilliant day at Wembley! x”

“I totally agree. If you buy 1 season ticket, why should it entitle you to 2 Wembley tickets. CRAZY”

“Sorry but two tickets per season ticket holder seems fair. A man should be able to go with his mate to the game. It is a reward for loyalty. There just aren't enough tickets to go around no matter how many are available. I am just hoping I will have a chance to watch the game on the television here in the States.”

“FAO I love Michu, I agree it should be one ticket per season ticket holder/per person but you can't blame the Swans for this allocation. The FA decided how many tickets we got. They send the rest out to the other clubs and to corporate partners.
And I don't see what the Olympics has to do with it? Is that the fault of anybody connectedd with SCFC....NO!!
Also, Bradfords ground holds more than the Liberty and they had over 23000 ( I think) for their semi final home leg. Not so very long back they were in the premier league.
You moan about tickets when you clearly know little about football and aren't even a Jack army member.
I'm a season ticket holder, jack army member and in the trust too. I was at the Patti that fateful night as well. I want what I am entitled to, which is ONE ticket for the final.

MancJack, no decent fan would get 2 tickets just to make a killing, maybe plenty will but they better hope they're not caught or they'll forfeit the season ticket. It's in the rules I believe.

immigrant, a large chunk of those who went to league cup games will have been season ticket holders too.”

“First chance of tickets should go to those that bought tickets for earlier rounds of the League Cup. The ground wasn't even full for some matches, but now everyone wants a ticket. This is the League Cup Final, so those that support the club in the League Cup matches should have first choice. There should also only be one ticket per season ticket holder, as this would give other fans a better chance of getting a ticket.”

    “Evening Post

Please can you address this issue to the club before it is too late. Clearly there is a strength of feeling highlighted by allowing the sale of two tickets per eligible fan in the sales periods leading up to the general sale. One member per ticket is fair and no one could argue with that. I have tried the club and no one seems interested.

CAN YOU PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE TO THE CLUB ON OUR BEHALF AS WE HAVE NO VOICE ON OUR OWN!!”

“I admit I do find it laughable that Corporate sponsors get any tickets at all. They paid to get their company name plastered on TV, they don't need any tickets and I am sure if the FA said they wouldn't be getting any then they wouldn't pull out of bidding for the exposure.

This should be split 50/50 between Bradford and Swansea. 45,000 tickets to each club. I hate how people with no interest in the sport, let alone the game, get to have free tickets!!!”

“Hello, also disappointed and it's at least good to know I'm not alone. Cannot see any reason why season ticket holders getting one for themselves and one to give away to someone who potentially may never have been to a game before OR to sell on at an inflated price. Surely giving 2 each to the season ticket holders is going to ensure as many as possible end up with ticket touts. I wonder if the players realise that many of the "away" supporters who travel week in, week out to sing their hearts out at Newcastle, Sunderland etc or were at the Shrewsbury league cup debacle last season are not getting a look-in at Wembley.”
