RNIB Cymru launches age-related macular degeneration awareness campaign
NEARLY half of adults are risking their sight each year, because they had never heard of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Not the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) have launched a campaign encouraging people to recognise the early signs. Spotting the signs and getting treatment early can save a person's sight.
As part of the campaign, RNIB have produced a series of photos of famous Welsh landmarks, which have been altered to show how they would appear to someone with AMD.
